Red wine from Burgundy. 100% Pinot Noir. Chassagne-Montrachet Village appellation. Viticulture respectful of the environment and the people who live and work there. Natural winemaking, aged 18 months in demi-muids, bottled unfiltered.
50 years ago, 70% of the appellation’s wines were red, today the figure is less than 25%. Made from a blend of 3 parcels, this cuvée perpetuates the strong historical presence of Pinot Noir in Chassagne-Montrachet. La Bressonne parcel (70 years old), with its old moss-covered cords, benefits from a fine selection massale. Its powerful wines are the cornerstone. Les Lombardes (60 years), with its very clayey soil, is a little later and produces low yields, but its finesse is undeniable. Finally, Chimbres (50 years old), whose lower rows are a little sandier, produces pure, nervous wines.
This is the story of a Burgundian winemaker who came to Luberon. He drew on his roots to make unique wines in the south.
A family call and a timely proposal put the winemaker back on the road. Today, from north to south and south to north, each vintage is written in the plural.
